December 12th marked a special day for many area families and
volunteers. Six Dalton photographers and eleven volunteers took over
the new facility at Ross Woods Adult Day Care and transformed the
facility into a make-shift photography studio. United Way agency
clients were invited to have a family portrait made FREE of charge.
They were then given an 8x10 print and two 4x6 prints of their choice
to take home with them, as well as a disk of their digital family
photos. For many of these clients a family photo is a luxury that
simply can not be afforded in our economic environment. Help-portrait
day gave these families a chance to preserve some of their childhood
memories. Nineteen families had their pictures made consisting of 70
individuals. A special thank you goes out to these dedicated
photographers and volunteers for their day of service.
