Privacy Policy / Information Collection and Use

United Way of Northwest Georgia is the sole owner of the information collected on our sites. We will not sell, share, or rent personally identifiable information, and will not collect personally identifiable information from visitors or system users without first informing them that information will be collected.

Log Files
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Data Systems -
United Way Community Connection has incorporated the following comprehensive procedures to protect the privacy of clients who receive services from organizations that use collaborative client information system. User agencies are required to agree to the following:

1.) Each client is asked to sign a Client Authorization Form giving her/his permission for information on the system to be accessed, and for new information added to the system. This form details the kinds of information that my potentially be shared between agencies.
2.) Each participating social services provider posts a list of other participating agencies in a centrally located area, and provides clients with printed lists of participating providers.
3.) Participating programs must have a grievance procedure that offers clients an opportunity to make complaints and have them addressed promptly and openly.
4.Users are required to participate in regularly scheduled confidentiality and best practices training, facilitated by qualified presenters.
In addition, our system incorporates the use of agency codes and passwords to protect client information, and client information encrypted before it passes through the Internet.

This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by United Way Community Connection's web site.

Nondiscrimination Policy
The members, officers, directors, committee members, employees and persons served by United Way of Northwest Georgia shall be selected entirely on a non-discriminatory basis with respect to age, sex, race, religion and national origin.
Any organization partnering with United Way shall have an appropriate Equal Opportunity Policy along with an implementation plan which shall provide for the selection of board and staff, as well as the delivery of services without discrimination.

Anonymity Policy for Volunteers & Donors
United Way of Northwest Georgia will preserve and protect an anonymous donation of money, material, and/or services.
