Campaign Victory Celebration

When a Community Unites, Extraordinary Things Happen

What happens when a community comes together with a shared vision and unstoppable energy? Something extraordinary!

United Way of Northwest Georgia is proud to announce the successful completion of its 2025 campaign, reaching an ambitious goal of $4.155 million—a powerful testament to the generosity, collaboration, and heart of Northwest Georgia.

This year’s campaign was led by Campaign Co-Chairs Sara and David Pennington, IV, whose leadership, energy, and belief in the power of community helped ignite a movement. Together, they inspired businesses, individuals, and families across Whitfield and Murray counties to lean in, give back, and stand united for lasting change.

“United Way represents what’s possible when people care deeply about their community and act together,” shared David Pennington. “Reaching this goal proves that collective gen-erosity can create real, measurable impact for thousands of our neighbors.” With a focus on healthy communities, youth opportunity, financial security, and community resiliency, the 2025 campaign touched every corner of Northwest Georgia. From strengthening access to health and basic needs to investing in education, workforce development, and family stability, the impact of this campaign will be felt for years to come.

The success of the campaign reflects the strength of a community that shows up. Nearly 6,000 donors from corporate partners and payroll contributors to philanthropic leaders like the Tocqueville Society, Women’s Leadership Council, and Young Leaders Society came together to fuel this mission. Weekly payroll deductions, leadership gifts, and one-time donations proved that every contribution matters and that generosity truly knows no bounds.

“When you give to United Way, you’re not just making a donation—you’re joining a movement,” added Sara Pennington. “You become part of something bigger, helping create opportunity and hope for individuals and families throughout our community.”

United Way President Amanda Burt expressed heartfelt gratitude for the community’s unwavering support. “The generosity we witnessed throughout this campaign is inspiring. From long-time champions to first-time donors, this achievement belongs to everyone who chose to give back. Because of you, United Way of Northwest Georgia continues to improve the lives of more than 50,000 individuals each year.”
This milestone would not have been possible without the dedication of the United Way Campaign Cabinet Members, local CEOs, campaign teams, and countless volunteers who gave their time, talents, and voices to support this effort. From boardrooms to breakrooms, every action—large and small—helped power this success.
