United for What’s Next

February is a month of momentum, about taking the energy of a new year and putting it into action. Across Whitfield and Murray counties, that momentum is already underway, and it’s powered by a community that continues to show up for one another in meaningful ways.

Because of your generosity and commitment, United Way of Northwest Georgia is building on a strong foundation as we move through 2026. The investments made through last year’s campaign are already at work supporting families, strengthening local nonprofits, and connecting people to resources that help them move forward. From access to basic needs to long-term stability and opportunity, your support is creating change that reaches far beyond a single moment.

In 2025, United Way and our community partners connected more than 50,000 neighbors to vital services and support. Those numbers matter, but what matters more are the lives behind them: families gaining stability, children accessing opportunity, and individuals finding help when it matters most. That impact continues to shape the work we are doing right now.

This progress would not be possible without strong leadership and shared commitment. I am grateful to our 2025 Campaign Co-Chairs, Sara and David Pennington, IV, whose leadership helped guide a successful campaign. Together with our Campaign Cabinet, Board of Directors, business partners, and individual donors, their efforts helped United Way of Northwest Georgia reach its $4.155 million campaign goal, ensuring this important work could continue into the year ahead.

David shared, “When our community comes together around a shared mission, real change happens. United Way turns generosity into action, and that action strengthens our neighbors and our future.”

Sara added, “This campaign showed just how deeply our community cares. Every gift plays a role in supporting families, empowering nonprofits, and creating lasting impact.”

As we continue through 2026, United Way of Northwest Georgia remains focused on meeting today’s needs while building pathways to long-term success. The challenges facing our neighbors are real, but so is the strength of a community united by compassion and purpose.
Thank you to every donor, volunteer, partner, and advocate who continues to stand with United Way. Your generosity fuels progress today and possibilities for tomorrow. United, we change lives—and together, we are building a stronger, more resilient community.

United is the Way.
