Many of us are living in constant pursuit of our passion or purpose. Finding passion and purpose is often best discovered in service to others. United Way brings together people with the passion and resources to improve lives in our community. Through our volunteer opportunities, we encourage everyone to connect where they are most passionate.

            United Way proudly recognizes our corporate partners with the Power of Community Awards! These awards honor YOUR hard work and generosity over the last year and celebrate all we have accomplished together through the Power of Community. We are always grateful to recognize businesses of all sizes and welcome new partnerships joining in support of United Way.

It is hard to believe we are already in March, but the signs of spring are evident. At United Way of Northwest Georgia, we are celebrating our community’s 2023 achievements. We are excited about what plans we have in place for 2024 under the leadership of Board Chair, Julian Dossche.

At United Way, one thing was evident in 2023 as we continued to help our community thrive: You were the driving force behind our work. You changed lives every single day with your generosity.

Kevin Wright took on the challenge in 2023 to be the United Way Campaign Chair. Although it’s no easy task serving as the Campaign Chair, Kevin believes strongly in the value of United Way – uniting people and resources to create lasting change in our community.

COMPETITORS COME TOGETHER FOR THE COMMUNITY

As Chair of this year’s United Way Campaign and member of the Board of Directors, I have seen firsthand the impact of our community's generous commitments to help one another. This giving attitude and desire to help others demonstrates the core values of serving others in our community.

For the past 23 years, United Way of Northwest Georgia has celebrated Make a Difference Day on the fourth Friday and Saturday in October. United Way hosted volunteer projects the week of October 23 - 28. Mannington Phenix and Marketing Alliance Group are this year’s Make a Difference Day Premier Sponsors.

As the leaves turn glowing shades of autumn and the temperature reaches perfect outdoor weather for us to enjoy what fall in the south means, I take in all the beauty of Northwest Georgia. Fall, for me, is synonymous with the United Way campaign. The much-anticipated annual United Way campaign has officially launched, igniting a spark of hope and goodwill within the community.
