Youth Action Day

Want to help make a difference in your community? United Way hosts four Youth Action Day's each year. These programs are designed for youth ages 13-19 year olds. Youth Action Day's are held during Fall Break (October), Thanksgiving Break (November), Mid-Winter Break (February), and Spring Break (April). It is a day service program where youth complete two to four projects each day. Youth are able to get involved in local volunteer projects and make a difference in our community while having fun! The program begins at 9:00 a.m. each day and ends at 4:00 p.m. Past activities have included: park clean-ups, putting on a play for children, playing games with elderly and other exciting activities. There is a registration fee of $25. This fee includes a t-shirt, transportation throughout the day, food (lunch, snacks, and drinks), and materials for projects. Scholarship are available.
Contact Summer Mosteller if you have any specific questions.
