Creating Change, Together

Summer is here, school is out, and vacation season is in full swing, but at United Way of Northwest Georgia, the work never stops. As we continue serving our community year-round, our dedicated volunteers are now shifting gears and ramping up efforts for another impactful campaign season.

Last year, we exceeded our goal by raising an incredible $4.155 million. That success did not happen by accident; it happened because of people like you who believe in the power of community. We are excited to tackle this year’s campaign with Co-Chairs David and Sara Pennington at the helm, supported by an outstanding group of community champions.

These volunteers set the stage for success, rallying local businesses, inspiring donors, and amplifying the message that when we give, we create. We create opportunities for children to read at grade level, support for families in crisis, and connections that build stronger neighborhoods. It is not just one person or one company making a difference; it is all of us, united in purpose and passion.

If you are a local corporation or small business, you might wonder why it matters to partner with United Way. The answer is simple: your support stays local and makes real impact, ensuring our neighbors have food, children have safe places to learn, and families get the support they need when they need it most.

Since the 1940s, United Way of Northwest Georgia has been improving lives, inspiring donors, and uniting our community around shared goals. Today, our focus remains on four key impact areas: healthy community, youth opportunity, financial security, and community resiliency.

You, your company, or your team can make a difference. Hosting a workplace campaign or making a corporate gift are powerful ways to engage employees and give back. We make it easy with all the tools you need: impact posters, pledge cards, stories, email templates, and more. Explore our Campaign Toolkit at www.ourunitedway.org/workplace-giving or contact amy.ross@ourunitedway.org.

Looking for hands-on ways to make a difference? Corporate volunteering is a powerful way to build team spirit while giving back, and when combined with corporate support, the impact multiplies. But you do not have to be part of a company to get involved. Whether you are retired, a student, or simply someone who wants to make a difference, there is a place for you at United Way. Join us in creating lasting change – email hayley.poillucci@ourunitedway.org to get started!

At United Way, we believe that when we unite more people, more ideas, and more action, we create lasting change. Whether you give a little or a lot, you are part of something BIG in Northwest Georgia.

United is the Way our community thrives!
