THE YOUTH UNITED AMBASSADORS is a leadership program of United Way of Northwest Georgia designed for students who are ready to put their leadership into action through service, mentorship, and community impact.

THE GOAL of the Youth United Ambassadors program is to strengthen leadership through real-world experience, deepen civic engagement, and empower students to take an active role in improving their community while guiding the next generation of youth leaders.

THE PROGRAM is designed to provide students with opportunities to lead meaningful volunteer projects, support impactful fundraising efforts, and represent United Way in the community. Ambassadors take an active role in planning and participating in key initiatives, including United Way’s Campaign Kickoff, while engaging in leadership development through four annual meetings focused on:

Youth Opportunity I Community Resiliency I Financial Security I Healthy Communities

Through this program, students build on their leadership foundation, strengthen their ability to serve and lead others, and demonstrate a strong commitment to service, leadership, and community impact. Ambassadors also play an important role in mentoring and welcoming Youth United Council members as they begin their leadership journey.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? This program is designed for rising seniors in Whitfield and Murray counties who are ready to take the next step in their leadership journey. Applicants must be either graduates of the Youth United Council program in good standing or rising seniors who are eager to grow as leaders, serve their community, and make a meaningful impact!
