Home Town Strong Keynote
Erin and Ben Napier, stars of HGTV’s Home Town, live and restore homes in small town Mississippi. The couple restored their own 1925 Craftsman-style cottage and are taking their experience to the community.
Erin, an artist who started her career in corporate graphic design and Ben, a woodworker with a degree in history, embrace a passion for renovating historic homes. In the new series, families purchase historic homes and benefit from Erin’s visionary sketches and Ben’s custom woodwork showcasing local reclaimed materials. The premiere of Home Town was the second highest rated series premiere in HGTV history.
Ben serves in a local organization that strives to improve and grow their own historic downtown area. Meanwhile, Erin uses her graphic design skills to brand and market to inspire the city’s rebirth. When they aren’t renovating homes for new residents, the couple keeps themselves busy with their made in the U.S.A. shop. They and four of their best friends sell heirloom wares and durable goods at their store, Laurel Mercantile Co.
Erin and Ben reside in Laurel, Mississippi.

Emily Finkell will serve as our host for the discussion with Erin and Ben. Emily is the founder of EF Floors & Design, a design-leading flooring provider in the US since late-2015, as well as Emily Morrow Home, a “to the trade” brand which includes hardwood flooring and other decor. With an expansive cross-current background in the interiors industry as well as product development for world-class companies such as Shaw Industries, both residentially and commercially, and her own enterprises, Emily is able to position design information that is both trend and market driven, bringing a perspective to the color and design field that is essential. Emily is a native to Dalton, Georgia, a proud mother of two young adults, William and Mary Morrow and married to Don Finkell, all of whom have made Dalton their home.
